Trauma Healing for Transformation

Hephzibah – “My delight is in her” Isaiah 62:4

Coffee Shop Ministry in Athens, Greece

Our mission:

To be a community of Jesus-followers who welcome refugee and asylum-seeking women into a safe, friendly coffee shop where they can tell their stories, be heard and valued, be prayed for and meet with Jesus.

Our vision:

Women’s lives are transformed by the power of God and by a loving community, because they feel valued, welcomed and supported.

We are setting up a coffee shop where refugees and asylum seekers will find exactly that: refuge and asylum – a place of safety in which they can tell their stories, BE HEARD, and be introduced to God’s healing and transforming power through love, prayer, counselling and community.  The tools for this will be quality food and drinks, a cosy and safe environment, and workshops which enable the women to tell their stories/share their skills, as well as build new skills – barista skills, music, art, crafts, photography, counselling…It will also provide short term mission opportunities by inviting gifted individuals to join the core team and serve in the coffee shop or give workshops, or to provide training for staff.
